Testimonials for the Original Ebook Captivated…without being confused I have been reading (and enjoying) Lunch with Gaffer. I am not done yet, but I do have some comments: It is very well written and has great flow. I found that I had read about 30 pages of it before I stopped to look up. It was captivating and interesting without being confusing. I found that the financial information was given in small enough bits to be digestible without overpowering the reader with too much information at one time. The end-of-chapter review was VERY nice to see. I found myself thinking "I should be taking notes of the salient points here..." only to find them neatly summarized a few pages later. David MacLeod, BSc(Hons), MSc, DDS email A "must-read" for novice investors I found the book an easy read. It contained very practical information for novice investors. In a down to earth, easy to follow style, it provided a good overview of basic investment principals for conservative, inexperienced investors. It is a "must read" for anyone contemplating an investment plan and entry into the equity markets. Michael Edwards C.A.; CFP; CLU email "What a great learning tool this is!" I found "Lunch with Gaffer" to be an interesting and not too difficult read. The presentation and explanation of the terminology were easily understood, even to the unfamiliar novice. I found myself identifying with the characters and their individual level of experience and understanding. What a great learning tool this is! In short, I think you have a winner, withrare readability for the novice investor. I would highlyrecommend this book, and look forward to seeing it inprint. A wide sweep of marketwisdom!! Richard Burkart Economist and internationalconsultant, Former Commodity TradingAdviser, Author of Retirement Planning for OffshoreLiving website http://www.panamundo.com/ "I honestly think you will enjoy this book" "LUNCH WITH GAFFER" is a very good and easy book to read. It is fast moving and imparts financial information sprinkled with background information of the three couples that join Gaffer for Sunday luncheon "discussion / meetings / classes". It is written in a conversational manner which I found very appealing since it was easier to understand the information Gaffer was teaching. The couples are an example of the three stages of investment opportunity. The oldest couple who are at retirement age now, the newlyweds who are struggling to make ends meet, and Gaffer's daughter and husband who are set in the middle of the investment cycle. The financial aspects are very well explained and easy to understand. I have enjoyed this "teaching" book immensely and have already started to apply some of the advice to my own personal investments. I highly recommend this book to anyone just trying to get a handle on the investment opportunities that are out there. Sydney shows all sides of many kinds of investments, the good, the bad, the advantages, the disadvantages, and the risks and the rewards. I honestly think you will enjoy this book. Bruce Owen Brown email "Going to see if I can make thingsbetter" I really enjoyed your book. I had no idea how little I knew about stocks. I've been in my 401K plan at work for years and never really paid any attention to it. I'd just check the balance every now and then to make sure I wasn't losing everything. It doesn't seem to be doing much right now, so I'm going to use what I've learned to see if I can make things better. Now, when I receive a prospectus in the mail, I actually read it before throwing it away. Getting back to the book. It's a great wayto learn about the stock market. The characters were justthat..."characters". I couldn't wait to hear what Gretchen wasgoing to say next in each chapter. You had the rightcombination of fact and fiction. Just when my mind was goinginto overload with the new details I was learning, you'd bringme back to the story of the people in the village. I also foundthe "refresher" page to be a great help, recapping all the newinformation from the previous chapter. I would truly recommendthis book to anyone wanting to learn about the stockmarket. CarolFumicello email ... and for The Gaffer Wealth System "No £1-million check but maybe the zip code!" A must read with insider tips on every page to level out an Alpine playing field. I have always held the belief that the stock market was nothing more than a fiendish Dickensian scheme, ready to swipe away every penny of savings the average person had accumulated. Sydney shows all sides of many kinds of investments, the good, the bad, the advantages, the disadvantages, and the risks and the rewards. I honestly think you will enjoy this book. Without a layman's guide I would never have thought to get involved in the whole business, but The Gaffer Wealth System has educated me to a level where I at least feel confident enough to get started on what I hope will be my road to wealth. I'm not saying The Gaffer Wealth System has a £1-million cheque attached, but it might just have the postal address for one. I received the system promptly (using PayPal, which gives unquestionable peace of mind) as I live in the UK. I also had technical issues initially. Amazingly I received an email from the author directly who then referred me to the programmer who sorted the (self caused, I should add!) problem out in one email. In a day and age of caller waiting lists and elevator music as you're trying to get the insurance sorted, I was delighted by Mr Tremayne's proactive approach to customer support. If you are looking for a clear, no hype, honest evaluation of investing, this is right for you. If a get rich Internet scam is what you want then try pyramid schemes. Gavin Smith UK |
